i think floodlights put off alot of heat,

I was told early in my growing career that floods are to hot and not the right spectrum for mj. I do not know the "numbers" on floods but cfl's work good and hid's are even better. It ALL depends on the size of your grow area. There is a ton of info on this site about lites.
