Can misting a plant be bad for it. I was gonna try misting the plants every night when the lights go out. Just wondering if misting everyday has a negative effect on the plants

Everyday is not necessary nor will it help ur situation any. Foliar feeding is a great way to boost plant vitality and there are many foliar products. Theyre generally used every other week, alternating with plain water sprays. Also different preventative pesticides are good to get on the plants early in life to avoid future problems, or to eliminate existing ones. So in short I would hafto recommend not spraying everynight when the lights go off. where u planning on using just plain water?

Yeah plain water is what im using...the soil already has nutrients in it

Misting once in awhile shouldn't do any harm, but avoid misting at all during flowering; you don't want bud mold. Clones also need misting to keep the humidity up.

I wasnt referring to puttin nutes in the water.

I mist mine with plaid distilled water...when lights come on 1 time a day

I found that keeping the humidity up keeps spider mites away...i had them then treated and now mist.. have not seen one 4awhile

There are sooo many good foliar feeds. You should pick one and try it at half strength. Ask around there are a ton of products. I personally like Floraliscious Grow and Bloom for foliar feeding. Hygrozyme is good as well. I have some samples of Dutch Master foliar and I am doing a side by side, we'll see keep you posted.

Its true plain water you can use everyday. Think about it, in the wild they get rained on right?? Its the foliar feeds that have nutes that can be bad if used very frequently. Water is fine, even in full flowering, it evaporates so fast, do it when they are a few hours into the light cycle so you discourage botrysis.

yes you can mist, no it wont hurt....but dont do it at night do it when the light comes on as letting water sit on plants in the dark is asking for trouble. i have folier fed organics through flowering and never gotten bud mold you just have to do it when the light comes on to give the solution time to dry. as long as your humidity isnt to high budmold will never be a problem. male sure you fan is turned on after misting to aid in drying....

Misting more frequently will raise humidity which will cause bud mold. I'm not saying it will happen 100% of the time but it does happen.

ya and when you do mist.....and your closer to harvest time.......try NOT to mist the Buds directly;
Try to just mist the fan leaves directly......i mean sure the buds will get hit with water when you mist.....just dont aim for the Bud sites.

Good luck BuDdie
