I had to move and couldn't take my set up with me, so I'm starting over. I usually do aeroponics. I've grown mothers in dirt from seed before. That is what I'm doing now. They've been in the seedling stage for about two weeks now. They look fair. A little droppy. One has some rust color at the edges. I have three strains going. They are all in miricle grow soil. I haven't been giving any nutes yey because the soil has a lot in it.
I have them in these plastic cup. I was wondering when I should tranplant them. I have 1 gallon bags. Then I was going to use 5 gallon buckets. They are under a 1000 watt MH I have a 600 watt hps I could use or a 400 watt hps. No other options for lighting at this time.
The White widow strain is growing really slow. The purple strain is growing slow also but has been doing better the last few days.
If I'm doing anything wrong or should be doing something I'm not please let me know. My temps are around 70 Light is on 24/7 I have air intake and exhaust. And a fan blowing on them. I don't know the humidity.

the brown spots could be nute burn, mg is pretty "hot" for small plants, i would keep using the mh for veg , just watch how close to the plants it is , then go with the 400hps. also try to raise your temps to 78 for veg, the cold temps could be causing the slower growth
hope this helps

:yeahthat:
You won't need to transplant them for a couple of weeks yet. The colder temps this time of year do slow things down.

Liven420, do you have soggy soil? That is to say, do your plants have good drainage? If they're over-watered their growth can be stunted.

It wouldn't be too hard to transplant those into good soil now. Perhaps your plants don't like the MG soil? When things go wrong for me and all else fails, I like to transplant. For me transplanting is the cureall.

Yes, it sounds like you might have a bit of nutrient burn.

Thanks for the replies. Nute burn sounds like winner huh! I do have good drainage. I mixed about 70% MG to 30% perlite. I had just watered when I took pics. I'll raise the temp in my room too.
It takes so long growing from seed. I hope I get a good mother to clone.

liven when MG water sparcley id also get a good foliar spray like sea kelp

imo i would use both the 600 and 400 hps if your using a 1000 mh why not hps ?
just go easy on the watering with mg and goodluck heres some green mojo :peace:
