tom-tom... yes, the black wire is your hot, and the white wire is your neutral... however, I would use a three pronged cord to plug it into the wall. the third wire will be the ground, which you want to connect to the metal housing of the light (or to the ground hook-up that probably is right on the casing). if the receptical (the plug on the wall) is hooked up properly, the left slot above the ground will be the neutral wire (white).

I recomment hooking up the ground, especially with these high-powered lights we use....

hey on the plug their is only 2 screws i did not get the 1 with the ground but i will tommorow but intill the how to i no witch is possitive and withch is neg on the plug their is 2 screws but neither say positive our neg?

our does it matter?

yes... by convention, the screw that you hook up the neutral to is usually a silver or lighter color than the "hot" screw, which is usually brass colored or darker.

if you need a 3 pronged cord, just cut the end off of an extention cord and use that... just separate the wires a little bit to get at the conductors

hold on a sec.... this is what you should do.... just cut the female end off the extension cord at whatever length u need, separate the wires enought to get at the conductors to be able to utilize them in order to hook up your ground. that is your most important factor... the ground.

be safe... not dead

can u show a picture of it?... so I could explain better?

i got light a hella of a lot of light i can get more plants now lol i got over 6000 lums now i think thats pretty good what do u guys think u guys auto see the little closet im gonna jam this sucker in .. it has the acrylic lens do you guys think i should leave it off i got it off now

I'd just leave it off, unless you find you have heat issues... unless, of course, you think the bulbs might melt the lense....

You should get 4 32 watt 6500k bulbs for veggin, they put out around 3000 lumens a piece. That would give you 12,000 total, good for 2 plants anyways.
