I didn't drown!

Friday afternoon (yesterday) I left with 3 other moms and 6 eight yr old girls to go tent camping with the Girl Scouts.

Friday was humid but not too bad. We got everything set up. One tent for the moms, one for the kiddos. Uh oh, the tent the girls were using didn't have the rain-fly. Well guess what? We woke at 6 AM with the girls scrambling to get into our tent. It was pouring!!! It wasn't letting up either. After an hour of debating what to do we decided to give up. We loaded everything and got soaking wet. It was miserable. The dry tent ended up getting flooded, and several of our possessions floated down the little gully washer. :shocked: I must admit the color of my shirt wasn't cooperative in the rain but there wasn't much I could do.


Anyways. I am ssoooooo glad to be home and not out camping for another night. I got my nice warm clothes, my comfy bed, my wonderful computer and I couldn't be happier. I am off to the local bar for a little R&R with a girlfriend of mine. See you guys later on, I know I'll wanna chat when I get home.

its all about being back at home after a nasty camp out (usually at a festival for me) and having that first warm shower! lol..
