your old metal coffee cans are 6in
I think loolagigi is talking about the glass cylinder.
You can get 4", 6", 8" and I believe 10" ducting at both Home Depot and Lowes as well as most other hardware stores. HD even has the crimping pliers to put the tapered crimp on cut ends. My local one even has one at the store that you can use if you bring your pieces in with you.
The straight pieces are unassembled to make cutting them to length easier.
Some of it is aluminum if you are worried about weight.

do a search for hydrotek silverstar or sunleaves sunspot 6 if you want a very good affordable(-$130) aircooled reflector. i use two of the sunspots in my flower room and love em' but the silverstars are very nice tooloolagigi said:

Pyrex makes a 6in baking round that can be used. THG uses it in here cool tube thread i believe.
