HPS and MH

Hello all,

I read somewhere that I could run a MH light bulb on my HPS ballast just as long as it is the same wattage, is this correct?

not unless your ballast is switchable.or a conversion bulb.my ballast runs both,its a lumatek.what kind of ballast do you have?

It is one that comes stock with a HF 1000w set up. I do not know the brand ? I will just get a conversion bulb..
