I don't want to buy bags or anything more than common supplies I can find at the drug store. I don't want to cook something for hours. I don't have a lot of trim and don't expect to get a lot of hash.

Is Brothers Grunt hash oil or paste the best and easiest way? http://www.marijuanapassion.com/forum/showthread.php?t=1581
Again, I don't want to cook anything for more than an hour, I don't want to buy Bubble Bags. Just looking to get every little bit of THC I can.

If you dont invest in yourself then you only have yourself to blame~ Buy the bags great investment that will return you lost monies time and again.

AG.. tbg's iso oil is "one" way of utilizing your trim, but it is NOT hash. It is an elixir, a concentrated extraction of all essential oils. Not just thc.
If you only have a small amount of trim, and want "hash", look into hgbs "Gumby hash" method in the hash forum..;)
but....I'm with meds4me, the bags are a worthwhile investment.

Thats quite the stretch you are making there and pretty childish view of solvent extraction.

Hick is bang on when he states that an extraction of all essential oils is what you will end up with using chemical solvents, regardless of if the solvent used is CO2, butane, propane, iso, ether, etc etc, unless you have the equipment to perform supercritical extractions and separate particulates by accurately controlling temperature.

If you don't wish to purchase bags or other equipment the gumby method has proven itself as a successful extraction method. A quick search on google with the terms "gumby method" will yield plenty of results and some videos on how its done.

It's not childish to consider chemical applications somewhat suspect. I deal with people with ARDS and other trypes of respiratory failures all evening long, people on vents in the CCU; lungs are sensitive and you only get the one set, and most of the folks i deal with worked with in the wood/woodpulp/paper industry and have extreme chemical sensitivity due to the exposure. So, paranoid maybe, but hardly childish :)

Has anyone tried using silk to strain with? You can bye cheep silk at a Goodwill store. lol

fum.. I've known ppl that used shower curtains.. :p
I would venture to guess that the silk might work, depending somewhat on it's tpi(threads per inch).
Pre-bag purchase, I used 5 gallon pant strainer bags as a "mixing bag", and strained through two grades of silkscreen AND a coffee filter with success. It wasn't as efficient, but I was pleasantly pleased.
