How to germinate???

Hey im a really new grower how do you germinate seeds, i know there is a lot of ways of doing just tell me some ways you use thanks :bong1:

Yup, there are quite a few ways, the way i prefer is to take all your seeds you want to germinate. Go get a rag and wet it then squeeze out all the water leaving it damp. I put 8 seeds in each rag. but only put the seeds on one half of the rag.

EXAMPLE:
==> rag _______
==> rag | : : : : |
==> rag |______|

once you have them lined up like in the example, fold the other half over the seeds. Go to the sink and wet your hand and run your hand over the top of the rag to make it damp damp but not too wet.

once you have them nice and damp and folded over, put them in the top back corner of your closet or in a drawer where no light gets. Every day just make sure the rag is damp and in about 3-4 days you should have white roots coming out of the seeds. remember do not open the rag but for 20 seconds in the dark that way you can see if the roots are coming, just don't let any light in!

do not touch the roots coming out of the seeds because you can stunt the plant if you do so. Go to your pot where the soil is wet and stick your finger in to make a hole about...eh an inch and put the root in first and make sure the seed is about a quarter inch under the soil when you push the soil back over but do not push the soil down too much over it and then it should be sprouted within 3 days.

well the way i do it is get a paper towel wet squez all the exes water out of put your seeds in it fold the paper towel over the seeds then put it in a altoid contaner (or any dark contaner you dont need light) and in about 7 days you should have seeds that are germinated but it might take longer it depends on the seed. thats the way i do it and it works every time

I have friends that germinate with paper towels, i just don't like using them casue they dry out too easy...but every way i've tried has worked every time..don't think you can much mess up germinating lol.

how do you plant them if you cant touch the root?

well you don't germinate the seed till the seed comes off, only till there is a good quarter inch to half inch root coming out, so just grab the seed end...and you can touch it a little like when grabbing it if part of your thumb happens to touch the root you don't have to worry, just don't grab it by the root cause it can stunt it

i do the papertowl thing 2... i got a lil tupperware thing i put a PT on the bottom of... wet it.. put my seeds in it... put a paper towl on top of them.. wet it.. put tha lid on... put it on a heat pad in a dark place for about a week.. i check it everyday to make sure its still wet... works great... when the roots are however long.. doesnt really matter long as its growing.. pick it up and pop it in some rockwool.. or dirt or whatever... i dont worry about grabing the root.. its pretty much nothing but a lil root at the start so kinda hard not to touch.. just be gental with it as not to break it.. the ones i did i forgot about and they were like 2" long when i stuck them in the rockwool.. i snapd tha root in half puting it in and it still grew no prob
