ok i have a quick question about cloning. ok normally when i cut them i leave the stem a little long and it takes almost 2 weeks to root. so today i took 4 new ones and cut them pretty short, thinking that with less to support it would root faster.. i only left one set of small leaves and the undeveloped set about to come out. does it matter how long the stem it or not.. i always get roots but just trying to speed it up some.. the whole clone is only about 2 inches from cut to leafs.

my method is simple, i use peat pellets, and cloning powder. the rest is pretty standered for cloning i guess, cut at 45 under water etc etc.

any input would be great thanks

i just started cloning. i think you are saying ...if the stalk is shorter will it root faster? i dont think so, but you need at least one node for the roots to come off of.....I think. i did two and one (nodes in gel, ezcloner and in soil) and they rooted in bout the same amount of time. I hope that helps, cause i am guessing that was your question.

ya thats what i was asking. i always cut the 45 just below a set of nodes.
