Inspecting my 75% sat doms this afternoon, all grown from the feminised seed I created in the backbreed experiment, I see that #7, the last one up, has got male preflowers on it. I don't have any doubt about it. This is great news! With a little luck I can breed my F2s and start selecting the genotypes for the next crop. This also implies that this method of producing feminised seeds is not 100% (one male out of seven seeds)

I shall be watching that plant very closely to see if it regresses to the male parent type (male hermie) but if it doesn't ... next generation! :hubba:

(It often seems to me that I am doing the opposite of what most growers here like to do. Delighted to see this MALE!)

Yeah, I was wondering the same thing. I am happy for you and hope the project is a success. I am still at the bottom of the learning curve with F1s and F2s.

Keep us informed on how you do, Benny. There's a need for more information on breeding and genetics. I feel like I am just beginning to learn.
