HomieDaGrower said what I have thought for a gazillion years: home brewing and hydroponics overlap. For each, one must like flowing water, pumps, tubing, calculation in gallons, gravity, et cetera. I started home brewing in 1991 and started growing aero in 1998. Humulus is in the same family as Cannabis. Both are grown for delicious-smelling and -tasting buds. Discuss.

Winemakers and distillers, and dirt growers, join in. Basically this thread is for botanists who make fermented bevs and zymologists who grow Cannabis. Zymology is a very cool word because it has three very cool letters in it (though not in correct sequence). Green mojo for big ol' nerds who can spot the three. :headbang2:

Wow, that was quick. BWD, have you ever made beer (alcoholic or non-) with maple sap and spruce tips? I love the smell and taste of spruce and maple. I only could do maple beer down here if I were very wealthy/lived in Vermont.

I love Wine,,I wanna learn how to make my own. Hell,,I do everything else to keep cost down and Quality up. Might as well make my own Wine, right. My Dad and his best friend made alotta Moonshine. I use to find it hidden under the Johnboat that was upside down in the yard.:hubba:

man don't know bout makin it but I use to drink pure corn alcohol like it was going outta style (I don't drink anymore) but I love growin good ganja and a cpl growin frinds of mine have just started hombrewin liquors so I definately see where a mutual passion could grow from.

Gettin' set to brew a batch of CLT - Colorado Light and Tasty - today. Got into the home brew thing about when you did, YYZ. The thing that prepared me best for it was being a photographer for many years, mixing up all those chemicals and blending them all together. I'm kind of glad that it all went digital, 'coz of how dirty all the waste was, but I think about mixing developer and fixer every time I brew a batch of good home brew!

Cheers,

 key
