I'm looking for some tips, strategies, and tricks to hide plants outdoors..mainly from helicopters. Would someone please send me a link? Or if you have a really good idea let me know? I'm trying to think outside of the box on this but I can't seem to come up with anything good...

You can use grass cuttings or mulch to hide the black of the soil and overgrown grass to hide the sides and blending techniques to hide the leaves and buds... anyone other ideas? Or Links?

Someone should write a book...."The art of hiding plants outdoors"....

Thanks,
Vito

Try not to leave a path or tear down any excess plants, shrubs or trees down around the immediate area except to increase light. Remember that the sun rises in the east and sets in the west so make sure there is a clear path from east to west for maximum sunlight. I like to make sure mine get all the morning sun. Good luck.

I was over to a buddies house, and walked by his small (2 plants) an awfully long time b4 I figured out it was there. It was about half way thru the summer and he had those babies staked down like Gulliver, all the side branches were tied too, blended right in with the tomatoes and weedy area that adjoins it. It probably looked a bit strange come harvest time, but it was a most successful effort.

Peace...j.b.

Seriously?
I thought for sure some of the grow experts would know of a few tricks for hiding plants or at least know a link to a grow guide or something....
Oh well,
Vito

I have seen some pretty sneaky hides, and thought to pass them on to you. there are several types that don't get taller than 40 to 55 cm or around 4 foot tall some even shorter, Then there is pruning and training and following that with tying over, all works great.
The best ones i've been shown were a grow in the middle of a big patch of brambles, a cool one set in the middle of a bunch of tomatoe plants, that one was really kinda hard to see, but the best was a friend took me to his spot out in the middle of nowhere and asked me to see if I could find it. Man I felt like a total idiot cause it just wasn't around. He was busy laughing at me and finally showed me, but you could never have seen it right off the batt you know ?
He had it growing in a 5 gal bucket way up in a tree, and he watered it with dripline that he pressurized with a chemical sprayer.
I have a private pilots cert, and we have flown together over the site several times and I know what a grow looks like from the air, but this is great cause you just can't spot it, even when he was getting close to harvest and the trees were changing a few colors it was still invisable.
I personally like old country back roads and plant on the other side of a healthy hedge row where I get a good south west exposure. The closest I ever got to getting caught was a squad pulled up just as I finished my watering. The only thing I could think of was whip out my mate and try my best at relaxing enough to urinate. I got chewed out and threatened with a ticket for indecent exposure. After the dude pulled away I was able to relax, and really had to go, but I ended up laughing so hard I dribbled all over myself. ps. I should tell you that if you can find a spot that is a real booger to even try to get into, then you are on the right trail ya know

Thanks KK.....

I've heard of a secret order of MJ croppers that have mastered the art of growing in trees..... I don't think its for me though, I'm too tall and baked to be climbing in trees with 5 gallon pots.. :)
Peace,
Vito
