I'm curious ,,,
I have made some seeds
I know its a touchy subject but i have self polinated one of my Power Plant clones with herself ( selfed???? ) and another clone from the same mother.

I know i know "breeding hermi's":ignore: i not a seedbank its just for curiosity.

Anyway does one of the experienced breeders or indeed anyone with an opinion have an idea of what to expect.

Yes i know that could become a large question but i'm more thinking along the lines of,,, Would you expect these seeds (which i have already) to display the typical phenotype of the original parents ( which are infact of the exact same DNA ) or could i see different expressions of phenotypes appearing as i might expect from say buying a packet of seeds?

Opinions wanted an accepted and yes i know herm herm herm but lets not just have another herm bashing thread eh guys. I tryin to learn stuff :giggle:

Well i'd imagine if you selfed a plant that had hermi tendencys then given that both pollen and female flowers have the exact genetic make up the offspring will be an exact match to the parent plant.

..and.. I wouldn't be totally surprised if most expressed themselves as female and quite possibly even finish without showing any staminate flowers. Under good conditions, no stess.
BUT.. any subsequent generations from those plants(seeds) are far more likely to be predominately hermies. ..IMO

Sure isint that what most fem'd seeds are at the end of the day.

On reflection it will or should make a difference when the plant hermed out on you if im thinking right which is a rare occurrence

What i mean is if it hermi'd halfway through flowering the seeds will do the same i guess.
If it was a case of a few latent male flowers in the last week or so then you should be ok.

Rare is an understatement lol, some been through hell and didn't herm.
I had one herm when i tried DWC and got curious but bottled it then read about people selfing so stressed one with screwing its light cycle in first two weeks of veg ( from what i read its a key point for stress ).

Should it be a worry that it did indeed hermi? given the fact they've survived pretty much anything else life could throw at em.

It matters not to me too much, but as i'm sure you guy's appreciate ya reach a point were this stuff gets intriguing :rofl:
