Ok, my gal is well into the budding stage ( sorry no pics ) and the bigger fan leaves are now turning a pale green and dying off. This paling of the leaves is slowly working up to the top of the 6 footer. I have read that it's a lack of Nitrogen but I can't see it because I have been giving it regular doses if Miracle Gro 15 30 15. Mind you, it's in a large pot outside and I was giving it doses meant for outdoor plants which call for a lot more Miracle Gro. I assume the larger doses were meant for in the ground plants whereas mine is in a large rubbermaid container. Maybe I have overdone it with the Miracle Gro? Any ideas on a fix or is this normal for a plant in heavy budding?

they naturally start yellowing on the bottom and the fan leaves when you are well into flowering.just let them fall off,do not pull them off.if this is the case.i know my fan leaves started falling off on my grow.

a plant will normally lose its leaves towards the end of budding.how far along into flowering are they? as for the miracle grow, you can use it,but i found out that you had to be very careful with it.its a very harsh nute for mj.and you need to give your plants a good flush b-4 harvest.

**note,i am not sayin miracle grow is horrible.Theres alot of people in here who like it,and theres alot of people in here that hate it and decide to go with other brands of nutes.**

yeah,i was using mg soil and nute too.luckily i had no problems.a friend of mine uses nothing but mg and swears by it.its all in what you get used to using and perfecting your system,to me.as long as the plants are growing and looking good, why change it.jmo. as AID said,i would flush good before harvest.

Well I would say its in week four or five of budding. The buds look like they could still fill out a lot more as there is room on the branches yet and the hairs are ALL still white.

yes, then its natural for the leaves to start yellowing some.i lost most of my fan leaves on my last grow.slowly, not all at once.let them mature and do not get in a rush.do you check the trichs?thats the sure fire way to know waht you want.be patient and you will be rewarded.

I usually wait until about 70 percent of the hairs turn color before I harvest. Hows that?

Well I currently have some doing the same thing. Don't worry its perfectly fine. All of my biggest fan leaves are gone. I would say about half way up now. I never had the problem until later in flowering. I figure with all the new leaves coming in on the new branches. That the old leaves are no longer needed. I'm not sure why they did it really. But mine are still doing great and never really showed any signs of stress will this was happening.
