I have a wooden cabinet that is 26'' wide x 27'' long x 16'' tall.
what lighting setup would i have to put in it and what would i need to make into a growroom?
im brand new to growing bud

thats a pretty small space bro, you can grow in it, but you will hafta grow some small plants, or lst the heck out of em.

For a new grower that is WAY too short!! You want at least 3 ft. tall, but 6-8 ft. is ideal. If you weren't new to it I would have a little different opinion but I dont want you to make any vital mistakes:)

Yeah like these other 2 said, It is kinda short for a novice grower. I'd stay to atleast 6' tall until you get a few grows under your belt.

16" growbox height is too short for beginner or pro.......IMHO.

I would say 24" minimum, but that would be for a skillful grower to train the plants for that headroom. Too much of a learning curve to start with, if your not familiar with MJ growth.

Start with at least 4 feet height for growbox, learn how to "weed", then try your hand later at micro-growing when you get the other issues ironed out.

PB:)
