Help me out B4 i spend my $

Ok most of you all know that im getting everything ready fro my next grow, so it brings me to lightingwhat do yall think about a T5 fluro(http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=51907) vs a MH light for veg???? Im still getting a HPS light but i waz thinking about getting the kind that can put a MH conversion bulb init. so what will be best for veg MH or T5 fluro??? heres the othe 2 product i waz looking at the HPS http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=47929
and the hps & mh http://www.htgsupply.com/viewproduct.asp?productID=47981 what would be better for veg??

This is a question with no right or wrong answer. That said, I tend to stray from the mainstream, as you probably know, and use T5s for my whole grow (I own one T5 like the one you linked to.). Seedlings to harvest with a 1:1 ratio of 3,000K and 6,500K bulbs have worked great for me. Check out my photos in the gallery. The C99s in veg and Lowryders were all used with T5s throughout the entire grow.

Any ballast can be used with a conversion bulb, some ballast's can be used with MH or HPS bulbs.

If your doing 2 rooms for vegg and flower That T5 would work great and be cheaper to burn than the MH.

thanx thats what i paln on doin every 2-3 months send in new plants to get flowered, and if im right fluro make the plants more compact then the MH if im not mistaken

i jus wont be able to use the same ballast cause ima use hps for flower and th t5's for veg, mh are for veg also

Keep in mind.. DLtoker is a pro

you probably wont get results like he does using T5's.

IMO: get the strongest most powerful light you can afford.
you'll be thanking yourself 4 months later.

trust me i know hes a pro, i jus wanna use it for veg/clones and i wont be able to use the mh for veg if i got the hps going for flower, and i not up for buying 2 hid ballast. Thoses T5's + the CFL's i already have will be good for veg

Yeah yeah, but the 400w HPS has more lumens than the T5 by far (10000 vs. 50000). T5's don't heat up really... so you dont have to worry much about heat.

and I just noticed that those lighting systems are really cheap! Good deals for everyone!

Just wanted to clarify that 400 Watts of T5s will put you in the 40,000 Lumen range. They do put out a bunch of heat, but it is dissipated over a large surface area compared to a small HID where the surface area is just one 6" long bulb compared to 8 4' long T5s. This large surface area to expel heat from is the selling point for fluoros... You can put them within 1 cm of the tops with proper air flow.
