hello i am new here

i am nwhere and just learning how to post so i also am just bigging my passion for marijuana . it works wonders for me and it has inpressed me when it comes to helping me deal with my injurys . i have yet to explore this site to find topics that catch my intrest, i do know that i will enjoy this place when ever possiable, so if any one out there has and good news on a affordable way to grow indoors please direct me to the thread . i am just learning .

Welcome! Hammys right, when i decided to start learning, i went threw at least 15 different sites before finally coming to this one. MJPassion is by far the best place to learn.
but, it depends on how you want to grow? If you want cheap, i suggest mabey a CFL Grow? Just some fox farm soil, put em in a make shift (home made) grow box or just an empty closet, add a couple CFL (compact florescent) that you can find very cheap at any home depot, add a couple f ans and your good . Don't get me wrong tho, there is SO SO much more to do than that, but , that is the just of a basic beginner (cheap grow) set up. As long as you got air flow, light, and water, you'r good . Remmeber Marijuana is a weed, so it'll grow damn no in any environment, whether it be ideal or not. But, if you want that "weed" to be the best possible, your gonna need to do alot more. Welcome to MP and the world of growing.

There really is a lot to indoor growing and a lot to learn. Marijuana is NOT a weed and it has some very specific needs. It is going to take more than a few CFLs if you really want to get anything out of your grow. Fluoroscents will work, but they are the most expensive of all the lights we use to grow and it takes a butt-load of them to get enough lumens. For instance a 3 x 3' space would require about 18 42W CFLs......or 1 400W HPS. Be careful to not rush out and buy things before you are familiar with all your options. I suggest that you start at the resource section and read. Then go to the individual forums and read all the stickies that pertain to the way you want to grow. This is not slam dunk--it is going to take time, study, energy, and money. Then decide where you can set up a grow space and determine how much money you have to spend on this hobby. When you have some kind of idea or plan on what you would like to do, we can advise you from there. There are ways to save money. I personally keep my eyes open for good buys all the time. If you are "handy" you can make a lot of stuff yourself.
