Well, I finally got to smoke bud from my own backyard(1st timer). My pretty friend yielded about 7.2 grams(don't know if thats much since it was my first time). Anyways I have my second one on the way(Thai*Skunk) and its resembling the last one I had so I'm assuming it is a female(unless its too early to tell,29days). The last one I had all I did was feed it water and natural sunlight. This time around I wanna enhance the looks and potency of my current plant. Like I said it is 29days old and about a foot tall. Its in a cleaning bucket sized pot(same one the last plant grew in) recieving direct sunlight til about 2pm. Any suggestions?

congrats on the first crop.. a very respectable crop from a first grow for sure.

suggestions? for nutes, just don't overdo it.. it's very easy to be too eagre and give them too much feed.
and don't just buy the cheap stuff. spend a little more, it will be well worth it.

good luck (and lets see some pics this time ;) :p )

nutes being a mix of nitrogen, calcium and phosphorous?20-10-10 ratio formula?

Hello there. Welcome to MP. This is a great place to learn/share your knowledge of growing mj. It's full of information that will help you along the way. It also boasts a large member pool that is dedicated to helping you in any way possible.

What size is the pot it is in? I would plant it in at least a 3 gallon pot. 5 gallon would be better. The bigger the pot, the bigger the plant can get which = more bud at harvest. :)

Do you have only one plant growing? I'm assuming it isn't a feminized seed since you didn't say it was.. You're going to have a 50/50 male/female ratio. If that plant turns out to be male, it won't produce any buds or smokeable material. I recommend starting at least 4 plants to ensure that you end up with at least 1 female. If you need help identifying male and female plants, just take a quick look around in the forums and you will find how to indentify them.

As for light, it needs as much direct sunlight as absolutely possible. The more direct light it recieves, the bigger and better your harvest will be. Make sure the spot you pick is safe, though. Hope this helps. Keep us posted on your progresss. Take care and be safe. Make sure to read, read, read and learn everything you can.

i only have one but it is strongly resembling a female. Its got the little leaves where the branches start outward with a few hair-like features around those particular areas. A picture speaks a thousand words so maybe I should just zip it and post a pic. Thanks for the help(to all members)

Hopefully you can see this picture. The plant on the left is a female. You can tell by the white hairs it has sprouting. Males will have little clusters of grapes is what it looks likes. Hope this helps. Take care and be safe.
