Welcome gambit, to MP forum. It is here where I've learned the basics of growing. And thanks to the great people here and their knowledge, I've improved my grows tremendously.
Click on our "resources" link and see all the information we have on growing. I have a couple of books, but I don't think that they're anymore helpful than what we have here.
Just one word of advice: Make sure that you've got a decent digital pH meter for measuring pH. Having proper pH level in your growing medium is very important. All other factors for healthy growth can all be dialed in perfectly, but if pH is off, you still have a sick plant. A lot of sick plants are sick because the pH is off, and not because they're not getting enough nutrients.
Well, enough of my speech and talk about sick plants. If you do your homework before plants your seeds, you'll have a good chance of nice, healthy plants. Good luck, gambit.

So the first question i have is what all can i do with a T5 fixture. Its a 2x24" two bulb fixture thats left over from my old fish tank. I know i can grow mothers and clones under it but i've heard it works well for Veg. growth too up to a certain height but how about flowering with it? will it produce dense enough buds for it to be worth it? or am i better off grabbing a 250 watt HPS? i'm trying to keep it small with 4-6 flowering at a time in smaller self built grow box i wanted to keep them under 2 1/2 feet total. any help will be appreciated along with any other tips
