Green taste and smell

I harvested 1/3 of my first plant 8 days ago, it's been drying since then. It still has a very greenish look and definitely a greenish smell and taste (like freshly mowed grass), though it has a real nice head. I assume the taste will improve with time? I've read all of the drying/curing stickies - the buds will go into jars shortly. [edited for grammar and punctuation]
