Grassy / Hay smelling?

Hi all!

My plants smelt real nice when I harvested and even while I was manicuring. I put the buds on screen and let them dry but as time progressed they started picking up a Hay/Grassy smell only when you crack the bud open do you smell dank, but it still smells kinda grassy. I now have them in glass jars and they seem to be getting better... What did I do wrong so I know for the grow I have going now?

I have read the forum and have not seen this question (I know I overlooked it) but I know this question must have been asked. I also read in another thread that you can put your bud in the refer? will this help with the smell? I am finding that growing is only half the battle...:hubba:

Did you flush properly? I have read that a proper flushing gets rid of the "green grassy" smell. Not sure about that though.

I think I did... I watered with plain ole water about 2 weeks before I harvested, is that right?

All part of the curing process ... it gets better over time.

i have heard this many times.i have never had my crop smell anything like anything but good arse smoke.it gets even better with a good dry and cure.
how long did you let her flower?are u sure it was ready.i did screw up 1 plant that would have been kick arse if i had of listened to massproducer.do not get itchy and impatient on the harvest.let her go until you are looking at the trichs you want to see.the damn little radio shack microscope,to me is a piece of sheet.i got close to what i wanted,but not to where i would have harvested if i had of owned the scope i have now.no more questions.buy you a digital microscope and quit bending over a damn toy piece of crap and u will know 4 sure when shes ready.why skimp on what makes this the reason you are doing this.digital is the only way to go.jmothe rest is a waste of 12 bucks

I have a 420 scope (scopes are the coolest thing ever!) I harvested when they where a milky whitish color...
