I started flowering last week. Ihave 3 plants under a 85 watt cfl. I was wondering if you guys think this is enough light for flowering these plants or should I add another bulb? Thanks for reading.:)

Lighting requirements are easy.

3,000 lumens per/sq ft MINIMUM

5,000 lumens per/sq ft is prefered.

Your light will have a lumens output rating on it.

Calculate the square footage of your plant canopy area.

Do the math.

Hey, noodles...make sure your CFL's are the soft white type [2600-2800k], which has more of the "red" spectrum. For vegging, I use the brighter daylight bulbs, which have the "blue" spectrum. Both available at any big box retailer.

Space equations above are good to follow...Hope this all helps.

PS:I'm exclusive CFL in my veg & flowering grow...love 'um!

Is the formula lenght x width x height? Its been a couple years could someone refresh me?:) It is a 3500 lumen bulb at 3000 kelvin will this be fine?
