I flipped mine at ~8 wks and am wondering the same thing. I'm on week 9 and am kind of going by the seed info that they begin flowering at 8 to 9 wks. I'm on 9 weeks now. Going by the smell I think I'm on the right track. My plants are still pretty thirsty and at some point I expect that to drop off as the plants mature.I have just flipped to flower 2 days ago, I hope I havnt gone to eaarly

Like I always said you have a Big Heart buddyActually I was kind of honored to help when he asked me for the seeds. The stuff reeks in a good way. Green grass tasting with a light to decent buzz. I still regret not giving him a loupe. I have 2 plants from that same package going in my indoor hydro right now. I hope to be able to give him a nice little (Finished) Christmas present or at least a surprise to ring in the new year.
I have a pack of Female (breeder) C99 in my collection from 10yrs ago the pineapple flavor . I may have to pop some this winter.Last couple runs, The time between flip and the buds actually showing I now consider "The Transition". If you can handle that part, don't start counting the weeks of flower until your first actual buds start showing. And just as important as having a decent timer (Get Yourself A Lighted Loupe, Pretty Please With Sugar On Top) - - You should still be able to get one in the 25 dollar range.
There is a great Old Timer in my area who got wind that I might have some seeds. (Outdoor Guy) I gave him a couple C99 fem seeds direct from BG early this spring. He asked how much he owed. I said "Ah, just bring me by an ounce or 2 when it is all over". I so wish I would have handed him one of my many loupes when I gave him these seeds. Needless to say, he has been by and paid his debt. 2 WEEKS AGO TODAY!!!! - - - Anybody see how this story ends... - - - Anybody growing C99 in my latitude (is that the word?) has probably got another 2 weeks left at least... About right now would start some excellent photos for bud of the month, I'm betting...
