Hi. I am new to the forums and site. I have actually started an at home project, and i thought i should register at this great site for some advice, help, or anything. heh.

Just for starters has anyone put seeds in clean water or tap water after it has sit out for a day? is it one of the better methods?
I read a growers guide recently, and it actually didnt list any information for the heat lamps, lighting, or air control. it did however go over the soil information quite detailed, but I really need some information like... when I put the seed into the soil for the first time, doesnt it need lights? heh
simple easy newbie questions i think. still an introduction and any information helps

welcome to the passion...hope you find everything ya need..theres lots of great info here and the people are very friendly to help...as for seed germination..you will read folks do this many diffrent ways...I personnaly drop the seeds in a shot glass of water for 24 hrs than into damp papper towel..and when tapped out..they go into medium...read up in the "Resorce" section

thanks 4u. I have read something like that too, and i have actually just finished reading the guide to growing on this site. this isnt the growing section, but i am actually trying to understand the part where you cut off the top 1/3 of the plant and the plant rejuvinates? this is something i am very interested in. I have some seeds that i would like not to regrow completely, but to keep in 1 pot of soil, let's say for 1 or 2 years, maybe longer.
again, not the growing section, but like how does that work or does this make the plant stronger/ more potent?
