There are many gifted green thumbs on this site. Does anyone have any other (legal) grows that they would like to show?

I have a fig tree that was planted by a beloved family member 30+ years ago and it is a monster. I bet this year its got 10,000 figs on it! They just started to get ripe about 5 days ago, and I'm already stuffed with figs!

Also, what are some things I can do with figs that you know of? Eat'em raw, fig preserves, etc... They ripen so fast, and every morning, it's a race to beat the birds out of my figs.

Here are some shots of it taken today. Unfortunately, I had to crop the lower half of the tree out of the pic for obvious reasons.

I've got my hands full with learning how to grow everybody's favorite plant.. but once I get a good feel for it, I'm definitely going to get my hands dirty with some vegetable crops.

I've learnt a lot from ATTRA, it has a wealth of information on legal crop plants, and their industry.

I don't have much of a green thumb. But I do have something very healthy growing in my backyard. It's a pear tree. The pears are usually ready by mid-October. But I don't know about this year. The branches are sooo heavy with fruit it looks like they could snap at anytime. This picture was taken about a month ago. Poor thing has 3 months to go yet.

The pears are delicious by the way. Anyone want any? :D

I love pears! I want some, mom! One of my favorite fruits. I wish I had that tree in my yard. I would have so many pears and cobblers and such. And I could use them to feed deer as well.

Nice, yup i figured there were lots that love to grow numerous things on this forum. I really love to grow. Flowers to vegetables to weed, love it all :) I want to start a plant nursery to be honest. Eventually get it to where it's one of those big ones with all the trees, flowers, and garden supplies. That'd be pretty cool i think.

Hey everybody

Glad to know I ain't the only one that likes to plant a stick in the ground.

KingK - a peach with a quince - huh? I have heard of a "flowering quince" but never thought there'd be a fruit along with it.

SM - Don't have a green thumb? That pear tree is SICK! You know not sick as in sick, but SICK as in SICK! As in un friggin beleivable. I busted out of my chair:shocked: I would love some of them there pears! I want to hear an eat report!:)

Dewayne a nursery sounds cool. Imagine having your own legal MJ nursery. What would you grow? :farm:

haha, whatever i could man. I'd get some nice indica strains and some nice sativa strans as well, just to put some variety out ya know. Just look around the seed site and pick out some nice ones. There's so many to choose from but if i had a legal nursery i'd prolly buy most of the seeds i could and start making my own from there, it'd be a lot of work though but fun lol.

WHat about yourself, what would you do? :)

In my garden i have 5 tomato plants, and 4 habanero pepper plants. Both doing fantastic.

* Killed one pepper plant when playing basketball. The ball hit one at the stem and broke it accidentally. It was so young, i almost wanted to cry.*

How are you tomatoes and Habanero's doing KBA?

My tomatoe plants have so many tomatoes its unhealthy for the plants. It's all but broke them down. Can't complain though. :) I'm giving away tons of them to friends and family.

This is the first year that I have grown habaneros. How big are your plants? Mine are only about 18 inches tall, but are nice and bushy. They have blooms everywhere and are starting to get a few decent sized peppers on them.

I just went out and took some pics of some of my Veggies.

First pic- Squash
Second pic- Habanero plant
Third pic- One of the bigger peppers on the plant
Fourth pic- Watermelon
Fifth pic- Tomatoes
Sixth pic- Broccolli

Yeah, I left a key to the pictures. Some people may not know what a Habanero plant looks like or may not have saw those kind of watermelons or maybe even what squash looks like..;)

That tree was already established when we moved in. We don't do anything to it. No ferts, no water, nothing. I should go pick one. They aren't supposed to be this big until Sept or Oct!!!
