whats up everyone almost finished with my second grow .And i am going to redo my room when finished .With better insulation and was thinking about burying 6 inch duct in the ground over to the woods about 30 to40 feet away from the building that the room is in .That way the exhaust would have time to cool down and not be right at the building. The fan is avortex 449 cfm So my question is. Is this to far for this fan to push the air and not put to much load on fan?

totaly depends on what you use are your pipe. pvc will keep it hot as hell, dryer flex tube will prolly keep it hot(else the heat from your dryer would leak too much?) metal duct may get it cooler but there is so little turbulance it wont come into much contact to cool. how hot is hot to you? it its venting 70f in the summer thats not too hot. but for where im at its 12f so it would steam up like mad.

Why are you worried about how hot the air is? If your worried about the smell just throw a carbon scrubber inline. I really hope your not doing this because you're worried about IR.

cadlakmike1 YES i do worry IR. I know it sounds like overkill But. Better safe than sorry! That is what the better insulation is for also help with holding temp. more steady & help keep sound down.

A typical dryer exhaust way higher temps then your exhaust. That wouldn't throw up a red flag at all. 10-1000w HIDs would throw one but not an exhaust vent. **** my furnace, hot water tank, and dryer would have gotten me raided by now.

I exhaust out of my dryer vent. Just threw a T tap in, It was just too convenient not too.
