Yea I saw that new article.

they say with solar tech becoming cheaper, this actually is feasible atm. Pretty cool!

Im just curious when all those cars flip n semis crash in it how easy is it to fix?

Closing down the roadway etc.... will it be cost/time effective?

Cool idea tho...

thats alot of solor sounds like a ggod idea too

Those are awesome, AND THEY'RE SOLAR FREAKIN PANELS

might be costly road maintenance.. imagine the price to fix a pothole?

seriously though, very cool. and i hope the inventor doesn't turn up missing soon (like many alt energy engine creators :()

Very very cool,,but the Oil and Gas companies will never let it happen.

Yeah well WE the People need to put pressure on them by electing Politicians who are not in their pockets. Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren come to mind. :D

They address that in the video. They are actually really tough and each panel can be easily removed and replaced. I love the fact that they can be made to put off heat in the Winter and help keep roads snow and ice free.

One WORD,,,CONGRESS,,,OH and one more word,,MORONS.

The cost of incorporating that technology (as it is) into our infrastructure would be cost prohibitive.

Now, Smart Asphalt..... there's an idea. Little nanites within the asphalt with LEDs attached, scurrying about, lighting the way, repairing themselves as they re-arrange the surrounding mass to instantly fill potholes as they occur.

And, all we need to do is pour a couple buckets of nanites into the asphalt mix and do the rest just like we do now.

Although, I must admit... that technology is very cool and would be great for sports, playgrounds, dance floors, patios and so much more. But roadways.... I don't know. Those two sure would be rich if it happened. ;)

If the people get their houses done first and get the upper hand in having to pay monthly power bills, they could pay the local taxes that could start the spread that would undermine the strength of the oil and gas lobbyists. These ideas will be the future.

The design, is awesome, totally considered so many variables, they really put a lot of thought into these.

i really want to look into this, as well as keep my eye on it's progression. i'm a mason by trade. so if this were to get big, it would greatly benefit our business to be on the up and up about this.
