I grow a blue lemon thai this summer been dryed and now cureing it or trying which is why I fell like I have failed, I have had a few quick dry test it was great and now that i am having some even though it is not finished, I think, well either way it just not as good high not as strong seems to linger on more yetit don't have that **** high it had at first try I am bummed about it dam how can I get it back

You really can't tell just how good the smoke is till you have a good cure on it. Don't panic yet.

I am with Rose... Give it a good cure before thinking that you failed.

If you're real worried, you can just quick dry a bud that you have curing and try that to reassure yourself. If the buds were mature at harvest, I don't think you failed.

I'm smoking some right now that I harvested a year ago . . . seems like it keeps on getting better! I think Rose is right - just relax and be patient.

i had to chop it early due to bud rot she had a few amber alot of white and some clear

Well if you already had even a few amber, it wasn't harvested that early to affect potency a whole lot.

If it had a bit of rot, did you remove it and dry the plant out an extra day or two before jarring up? How long has it been curing for, and how often are you breathing the jars?

put them to dry for two weeks then jared them open every day anywhere from 15-60 minutes thats all i do to them how long should I keep this up for and what else can be done to cure them if you don't mind it's my first time

Sound about right to me it take a month or more for a good cure to bring out the flavors

Excellant advice,My first grow was disappointing at first but with each passing week it just got better and better. If you made it this far pat yourself on the back.My harvest is complete as well,to the jar stage just opening about an hour a day,and the buzz just keeps on getting better as well as the taste. Just For future grows, most people recommand that you use only water the last two weeks before you harvest as fertilizers can add to a bad taste.Be safe and congratulations on your sucessful grow.---tkm

Well congratulations on your first harvest, skullcandy!

Two weeks drying sounds more than adequate, even if they were a bit soggy at chop time. Sounds like you're doing everything right. I tumble my jars to keep the buds loose while they're curing, I breathe em under a ceiling fan to really move some fresh air down in there.

Possibly the biggest trick of all is the simplest, but also the most difficult - don't smoke it yet!:joint:

Great thread guys.

Make sure to burp jars and not forget any.

I stick a hydrometer in there and if they are around 65 percent humidity I jar them with a 62% humidi pack and seal um up.

If they are above 65 I let them dry a bit longer before jarring.

You might want to check your spelling. You used a four-letter racist word.
