DJ Shorts and BC Northern Lights Brings You...Blueberry

I am running 17 clones from DJ Shorts Blueberry mother in my BC Northern Lights Producer. I know everyone here thinks they can build a better box with half the money one costs and all the :**: . To those who think they can, I say prove it. I of course have another flowering room but this thing is great for quick runs and a fast turn over. The clones were put into flower at 6 inches and are 18-24 now. I did a little pruning before flower but there really wasn't much there to trim off. I had two plants in the one corner get a little bigger then the others but I think maybe they get more air right there or something so next time I will put my two smallest clones in that spot and see if I don't get a little more even of a canopy. Really doesn't matter because there is 800w of Hortilux beaming in this little thing. CO2 has been running the whole time, and my TDS ppm's are 1600 @ the beginning of week 5. So here they are 29 days of flower and at least 28 to go. I will post some pics every week as they really pack on the trichs. You have to wear latex gloves when trimming this stuff or it will render your hands useless in about 30 minutes. It smells of over ripe fruit and will only get worse at week 7 when they really pack on the weight. The Bubble Hash made from the popcorn and sugar leaf will put you in a wheelchair. I use a full line of Advanced Nutrients pH'ed to 5.5 and it drifts to about 6.1 by the end of the week. I never even have to adjust the pH, I could leave it for the whole week if I truly wanted to.

I have had the same thing in my box where the plants in the back two corners grow much healthier and faster than all the rest. I thought it was because they get the most reflective light but I never thought of air like you said.

Have you smoked DJs Blueberry before? I have grown a few crosses that were created with his Blueberry pollen and I think it might be the best stuff Ive ever grown. From what ive heard and read nobody can compete DJs genetics and breeding.

Yeah I have smoked it Mainharvest. I grew out the plant that I took the mother for these from. It is very good stuff, actual dankness, and makes the best hash. I am not sure if I will get the real nice colors I got last time because this little box keeps a temp in the upper 80's in the daytime and about 72 at night. We will see, I am looking foward to the next 4-5 weeks.

I agree Buddy, I love the colors and smell that only a Blueberry strain can produce. Around here we get low night time temps so I get the nice colors every time. I guess thats one good thing about living up north. Even on my indoor grows I have gotten nice purple hues with every DJ grow so maybe you will too. I think there are some strains that turn purple no matter what the temp is. Am i wrong?

I could do it in my main flower room becuase I have a portable A/C I can run as a nightime only device. I ran it for a few purp strains that never turned purple. I did get nice violet hues with the plant these came from. I have a thread in strain reports where you can see the nice purple fans leaves all over my table. My camera skills a null so I need to work with this camera so I can get some good pics this time around. I was just glad the trich shot on the last pic in the first post was visible.

Dude make sure you save those fan leaves cause you can pic them right off the plant and put them in your bong. They arent as good as DP WW but they are almost as potent.

Personally i prefer male fan leaves over female.

Darn. I threw all the males out because I read they were not DP WW and would not get me high. I guess next time I will cut all the girls down and run the cab with 100% males instead. I really like the mellow, not even like you are stoned high.

Well me and my bro run all the popcorn and sugar leaf for hash. I admit I am a hash head and have severe problem when it comes to smoking it. If I could I would run the elbow for hash but my brother would never stop complaining about all that good smoke. Plus my wife puts back her fair share, and she was not a fan of the Strawberry Cough I grew. She said is was harsh even after the cure and I agree. I don't think it was my technique becuase I have grown quite a few strains and SC was the only one that kinda burned at the lungs. I will give some away to the inlaws and take a bunch camping and blow down everyone I meet while doing it. I just like to have good time, and weed makes a good time even better sometimes. You know the saying, you ever seen the back of a 20 dollar bill?. Have you ever seen the back of a 20 dollar bill on weed?

The strain I grow is called "Blueberry". Don't know it's origins, got it from my son who got it from his friend, etc.

But I can tell you it does make wonderful bubble hash- and running a whole lb would create some copius amounts of delicious hash for you.

To heck with your brother and your wife (though she may spank you for it)- treat yourself- you deserve it!

And that is one very funny signature line you got there!

I agree that DJ has some great genetics. This is a hybrid of his Grape Krush and Blueberry. No temp changes needed for the color.
