i took a Stearlite container and built it into a bubble cloner by cutting out circles for net pots in the top and spraying the sides with black plastic-dip. i filled it 3/4 full, put two 12" air stones in it and hooked them up to a small-ish air pump and i barely get bubbles coming to the surface. i blew into the airline and got many more bubbles but still it didn't seem like enough to keep 12 net pots and small rockwool cubes wet. will a bubble cloner only work for bare stem clones and not rockwool and net pots or will a larger pump really put out enough bubbles to keep everything moist? if i need a bigger pump, how can i figure out the right size without having to order a bunch of them and test them out? thanks.

Most bubble stones need to soak for an hour before they work properly. When making the cloner you should use a foam plug insted of the net pot. You need the bare stem to hang below the lid but not in the water. Look at your pump it should say the gallon rating on the box, Example 5-15 gallon. The net pots come after the roots have formed. And you would only use the net pots if you are going to use Hydro technics...take care..

what size is the pump? if its a small 10-20 gallon..get a bigger one..IMO..the more bubbles the better..so get a large one...I use all diffrent size pumps for diffrent size containers..They also make those stones in a nedable hose..difrent lendths..i use a 18" bent in a circle for my DWC. Hope this helps..:bolt::bong:
