Cooling 400 MH

Thinkin bout buyin this light off Ebay it has no port to hook a fan and duct on. Gonna use to veg so itll be on 18-24hours. How can I keep this cool? should I just keep a fan blowing on it?

Most likely you will need to exchange your air in the grow area by pulling the hot air out and pumping fresh cool air in...you shld be doing this anyway regardless but if temps are soaring you might need stronger fans...

i think if you were to bring an end of the ducting to or near the hood.. to suck out as much hot air away from the hoood and out of the box.. and cooler air in.. you might beable to pull it off..
personally i find them to be a lil trickier to cool then "air cooled hoods".. but can be done.. like Hampters said you may just need stronger fans just do it right and exchange your air contsantly..

Have you checked out HO T5s for vegging? I prefer them over MH and they are a lot easier to cool.

I'm thinking of cutting a hole in mine and bolting a duct mount to the hood. By the looks of the picture you could do it to the opposite side the light is mounted.

Might be gangsta, but will work.

I was thinkin the same thing thanks for input guys I might save the pain in the arse and just shell out the extra doh for some T5's like HG said or buy a MH with cool tube already on it.TY
