i have a 1ft by 6" vent outside of my room that goes to a 6" Y inside my room. from there one opening goes up to my light and then out to a 6" fan and out of the room. the other opening goes to a 6" one way damper then to an open vent. i have a charcoal filter with a 4" fan venting outside of the room. i wasn't feeling any air coming through the open vent so I'm assuming the 6" fan is pulling air so fast that it can't break the stream going to the light to go through the damper and into the room. i went out and bought another 6" fan and i was wondering if it would be better to use the 4" fan to help push air through the damper and into the room and use the 6" fan to pull air through the carbon filter and out of the room or just put the 6" fan on the open vent going to the plants and leave the 4" fan on the carbon filter. i have a controller that can turn on both the 6" carbon and the 4" intake (or vice versa) when the temps go up but i planned on running the light fan only when the light is on. hope this makes sense.
