Will a 10 mfd, 370 volt capacitor be sufficient for a 175w metal halide? Thanks in advance.

and i bill for a new ballast...............
You will find a lot of businesses that do something similar. Thats why anytime anyone does work for me I stand over them and supervise and ask all kinds of questions. Usually the snakes will get mad/irritated but the honest people will answer all of your questions happily. You only replace a capacitor but you charge them for replacing an entire ballast when you didn't????????

you shouldn't be able to tell by looking at it.
we use them (the 370v) caps to promote slightly longer lamp life.
Are you saying this will or won't work? The capacitor is used to correct the power factor of the ballast or reduces its inductive load.
