Las Vegas dispensary sells America’s most expensive legal marijuana product for $11,000

An expertly-rolled cannabis cigar has officially taken the title of the country’s most expensive legal cannabis product.
The Nuwu Cannabis Marketplace in Las Vegas sold a 24-gram stuffed blunt for a record-setting $11,000, reports the Las Vegas Sun.
A Los Angeles-based restaurant owner named Brandon Hawkins, 36, flew in Friday morning to purchase a cannabis cigar (cannagar) handcrafted by the Seattle company Leira.
The cannagar contains 24 grams of sativa-dominant Pure Haze flower sourced from Virtue Las Vegas, wrapped in hemp leaves, and coated in 24-karat gold leaf.
The purchase was inspired by a similar cannagar that sold for $10,000 in Washington last year.
“I’ve always been a proponent of the industry and I’m happy that it has come this far,” said Hawkins.
Those looking to indulge in such extravagance at a reasonable price point will soon be able to do so, as Leira plans to release smaller, less expensive versions of the cannagar in finer dispensaries where cannabis sales are regulated.
