I recently switched 90% of my 6 week old veg into my flowering room. During veg I noticed burn marks on some of the older fan leaves. With what looks like black "pitting" before the leaf shrivels and turns yellow/brown and dies. Fine fine. Figured it was just "pores" on the leaf that got clogged due to nutrient imbalance or burn or such- Death seems to happen from the black spots slowly.

Examining further, x60 with Radio shack microscope- it just looks like plant matter death and not bugs, or eggs, thankfully. But today i checked my plant, ( I always stare, touch, and talk to my plants at least 2 hours a day.) and I saw 3 bugs!

2 on the same plant ( might be the same bug- lost track of him for a few mins) and another on a different plant- So I carefully smooshed one between my finger and the leaf. Now stuck to my finger, I broke out the micro scope to get a better look here. Long, slender, white/clear bug, with no wings that I could see. 6 legged, about 1-2 milimeters at best. Very small, but can still see with the naked eye. I looked for maybe 30 minutes and only found 2-3. It's not resembling an aphid, spider might, or white fly to my knowledge. I really want to find a picture of one and post it. I checked the soil, and didnt see anything out of the ordinary down there.

Scarey looking at x60- ugly, ugly bug. It may explain my general swag grow being so under par in health ( yellowing, burn spots, Mg def causing leaf tips to curl up on some)

But has anyone seen this bug before or know what I am talking about? Kind of hard to take a picture of one, so I'll scope around for pics on the net, see what I can dig up.

Found more now that I know what I am looking for. There is a little saw dust on my plants which was throwing me for a loop, from closet construction. Now, if i poke one with a knife or something they move away- obviously feeding on my leaf because after one moves away it leaves a little white or "leech" spot- very small tho. Haven't found any on stems, no webbing matter, and very few bugs from what I can tell. But the feeding spots are more noticeable now that I know what I'm looking at- Very small 1 milimeter to 1/2 a milimeter sounds more in line to the size of the bug and their leech spots.

Will an Isopropyl wash down/spray get rid of these? I'm broke atm, so no rushing off to the hydro store to buy pesticide. Looking for a more organic method anyways. I've googled for bugs for a bit and still can't find one resembling my problem. Smaller than aphids, white flies. Smaller than red spider mites even.

Kinda sounds like mites. Mites leave a sluggish looking trail. But you are saying they are smaller than mites so I'd imagine you know what mites look like. You need to get rid of the bugs because they will get worse during flowering. The only bug you want in your growroom are ladybugs (which eat other pests and do no harm to your plants) I would almost toss the grow and clean the room and equipment very good. Good luck with them though. Bombing is another option, but be careful with what you use.

I am still a firm believer in the dish soap and water spray myself. I have heard of the iso spray also. but im telling you, i sprayed my girl with the dish soap spray and the bugs are gone. I sprayed on good, let it dry, sprayed again and let dry. then i ran my fingers down the leaves to kinda help wipe em off. That was hmmm had to be a couple months ago and i havent had any return.

Interesting option. Did it have any affects on the plant? Did you make sure none got in the soil? Worth a shot IMO.

yeah that`s a plan. but you could also use 2 sponges and lather-up the soap suds in them. then wipe each leaf seperately-the reason for 2 sponges is one for the top of the leaf, and the other for the bottom-using both at the same time,(make a sponge sandwich, with the leaf in the middle).
Spider Mites leave little yellow spots, and as their numbers increase, web like matter, which they use to enable better travel through your entire plant.
look on the under-side of your leaves, and with the naked eye you should be able to see them and their offspring-eggs. If you can`t see them with the naked eye, use any magnifying implement and you will.
If you`ve just noticed them and there is no web-like material, you still have time- if there is webbing then your probably too late.
they will drain your girlfriend of every drop of moisture, and leave a dry, crumbling pile of buds that are only good for the bin.
use the "2 soapy sponge method" a couple of times a day. this will keep the numbers down to a managable level, without damaging your gals.
spider mites are notorious for returning again and again, you`ll have to clean your whole grow area, using disenfectant/bleach.
i`ve had a dose of those little monsters, so i speak from personal experience.
i re-located my whole growing area-right to the other end of the house!
i was expecting to see them again, but "touch wood" i`ve got rid of them and all succesive crops have been clear. i messed them all up by myself:eek: , i`m on my 4th grow man as i couldn`t get the flowering phase down, and would burn the hell out of my gals-as a result i had a few hermies too:hitchair:.
well i`ve rabited on for long enough peeps, good luck man.
