A Houston, Texas, trucker was being held in the Pearl River County jail (POPLARVILLE, Miss) today (Saturday) after his arrest for possession of 230 pounds of marijuana.
Willie Huff, chief of enforcement for the Mississippi Department of Transportation, says the marijuana was found yesterday (Friday) in a tractor trailer rig being driven by 37-year-old BUBBA L. Dixon Junior. Huff says the rig was pulling an empty flat bed trailer.
The rig had stopped at a weigh station in Pearl River County in south Mississippi when M-DOT inspectors decided to look it over.
Huff says the inspector became suspicious of the driver's actions and answers to the officer's questions. Huff says BUBBA Dixon gave consent to a search of the cab.:holysheep:
Huff says the marijuana was found in the sleeper area of the cab.
BUBBA Dixon has been charged with possession of marijuana with intent to deliver. Dixon was being held in the jail pending an initial court appearance.
BUBBA shall not be considered guilty until finally convicted by a court!:woohoo:
