I can't help but giggle over this news story about cats killing thousands, millions, billions of birds and mice each year. The fact it's even a news story is cracking me up. Is this something new? Maybe we can arm the birds with tiny riffles.

both of my cats are natural born killers....this past year I walk into the living room and there is a 3 ft dead snake just laying there and my LilBit is sitting there next to it like she wants me to say good job girl,she grabs it and goes out the front door...they try to get everything in the yard that moves.........

Well there doesnt seem to be a shortage of birds so isnt this just Nature.

if anyone is concerned about this simply put a tiny bell on your cats collar, it usually destroys all their stealth abilities.

We got outdoor cats. And birds put a whippin on them all the time.
I pour their bowls of dry food out in the yard. And the blue jays dive bomb them. Those other birds that grab cat fur to make nest too. Its a riot. Cat standing there eating and that grab fur bird snatches on them, making the cat do a flip over. And the cat stands there with a look of, "What the hell was that!"

Then the Osprays, Eagles, and Hawks around the river. Had 2 cats get knocked up before we could get them fixed. They had litters totaling a good 10 and only one made it thankfully. Cause damn if I want the 3 we got now.

Watched a thing on animal planet, domestic cats are the worlds number one KILLER.. they kill just cause they can

They will kill Chickens too. When I was a boy I used to feed my cats Blackbirds cause they were thousands of them around my place.
Course I aint owned a Cat in 40 years,My dogs dont likem.,nor have I killed a bird in 40 yrs.
