another germination problem just a question

Alright guys.

I am a first time grower and am just trying different ways to germinate.

Now I tried this method with a plate, a bowl, and a napkin, I did it last night around 12:30 and when I woke up and checked it around 10:45 the napkin was completely dry. just BARELY damp. Now after I saw it, I immediately switched the seeds to the napkin and bag way. But ive heard that If seeds dry out after they have had water in them they probably wont sprout, any thoughts?

I don't know if it's a sure thing that they won't sprout, but I can tell you that I am a first time grower, and I did two seperate methods for germing the seeds. One was the plate, the other was the bag way. The bag one is working much better, and yes, one of mine on the plate dried two days ago and I wet it again, it hasn't grown at all..... Just my two cents.
