4 weeks from harvest +/- I start seeing signs of a caterpiller invasion that at a minimum represents death, decay, devastation and ruin! What an insidious horrible little worm! You can find them pretty quick because the flower nearest them dies and quickly dries in the sun which stands out. Unfortunatelly it doesn't end there. They have tunneled into and out of the stem. The infected area although appearing to be ok, fails to thrive, Begins to dry on the branch which i'm sure degrades what potency this "earlybud" has. One large bud i took for this reason appeared healthy but had dried to smokability in one day. Enough of that, next year it's "better living through chemistry" "I've always thought that, come to think about it"
Whilst looking for worms this amazing ladybug landed and started meandering the whole plant. He had these 2 big! white dots that looked like eyes "c pic 1" Pic 2 it looks like he's straddling three leaves and pic 3 reminded me of a big ol bus lumbering over a hill. Look he even has 2 mudflaps, LOL
Thanks to all by the way, who helped me!!!!!!!!! get through whole season.

So you have an infestation now????

go to home depot or lowes and pick up a product called SEVIN...
Its a formula that you mix with water and spray on your plant. We use it for Pot, Tomatoes, Corn, Watermelon, Broccoli.....It works wonders

Hi again. I realized I left unanswered questions about my crop and those horrible little worms. :) So I am going to try to post pics of The good, bad and ugly. Pic names are pretty explanatory and i welcome your comments.

I certainly wish I had such a crop to 'complain' about!:hubba:

Did you identify what insect the caterpillars belong to?
