air cooled ducting

whats happening all. if u use a air cooled light fixtrue i know it would be best to run ducting to outside air. But can u leve the intake open to the fixtrue & pull air from the room across the light. Would it still pull the heat off the light. i will have passive venting in floor for incoming air.

That is what i do but with a carbon filter connected to it pulling warm stinky air out of the room. That will work perfectly.

thank u potbelly u got me thinking . i sad to myself self u can run some duct off the intake to the top of the ceiling & also pull the heat out o ya .
