I just put seeds in 6 Buffy pots, will a 65 watt bulb, heat an grow from Low's work to get them to transplant size. New to the pot seen.

Welcome to MP. You will find a wealth of information here to help you along with your growing.

I don't know what Buffy pots are? Your light will work to get them going, but you will need bigger/better lighting after the first week or so. The good people here will be able to help you out with proper lighting for your project.

Be aware that, while marijuana is not addictive, this growing thing can get that way.

I am not a fan of Jiffy pots or those Jiffy pucks. Jmo

A heat lamp from lowes is the wrong spectrum for growth.

cool white flourecents, even twisty bulbs...anything but an incandescent heat bulb.

try buying some rapid rooters!

:welcome: to mp

Yeah the rapid rooters are definitely the best. The Jiffys are mostly sphagnum and for me they hold too much water. If you are used to working with the Jifffys though, then you may do just fine with them. DO NOT try to feed your seedlings for a couple weeks at least or you will burn them up. Wait until you see the little round leaves (cotyledons) begin to yellow off, then you can begin feeding them. Or you can allow them to go a couple weeks and then set them in mild organic soil to begin. :) Welcome to MP and to your new addiction :D Green Grow Mojo

If that 65w bulb is the florescent bulb in the strong bright white light(listed as 6500k) then you will be good for the first 2 weeks, then you will need to increase that to 4 of those bulbs for the next 2 weeks. Then you will need to increase your lumens as your space increases. Ideally you need to have a MINIMUM off 3000lumens per square foot of illuminated area. Most of us usually enclose a grow space with reflective mylar or white painted walls so that all of the light energy is reflected to the plants.

Remember that MJ is a very high energy plant very much like any of the fruiting plants. It needs waaay more light than any house plant or vegging plant that doesn't fruit. If you don't know about these lights, go to ebay or amazon and look up T5HO fixtures. A4x4 space will veg plants nicely with 2 6bulb fixtures. Or you can buy 1 600w electronic HID and use the metal halide ffor vegging and then use the HPS for flowering. Just a few things to think about :)
