24 hours of silence on the internet. Over 12000 participating stations i just heard on the add. The Internet Radio Equality Act.

Another brilliant attempt by politicians to leverage the large corps. Why provide free internet radio with technolgies that with everyday improve access.

We have multi billion dollar companies invested in satellite radio with subscription fees, and add filled cheety am/fm broadcasters that you should be forced to use at a cost of money or grievence.

Shut down those internet stations, shut them down now before everyone has endless genres to choose from with no interuptions and no cost basis.

lol allgrownup, its funny because its true, oh no! free listening!

Fact of the matter is the majority of US artist a couple of years back were switching to UK / Indie labels as they were actually making more money and had more rights as artists, as the US had dropped most laws meaning people could sample almost anything from anyones track without the aid of legality.

Well the UK's aparently taking the same turn with regard to copyright which is a shame. Could it be the downfall of the music industry as we know it? dinosaurs will die ;)

It's not free listening... There are ads all over those sites, just like am/fm radio. Satellite radio has to be paid for because there are no ads. Get some commercials and make it free!

I love my sirius radio... i dont mind payin for it.... i dunno what i would do without it

Not on the ones i listen to ;)

i may hear one add over the period of uh...ALL NIGHT.

point is, these sites pay royalties around 120 bucks a month. the new fee is in excess of 6000.00

so, are they increasing costs for profitability, or are they shutting down an emerging industry that with new technolgy threatens their old flawed business model????

plain and simple....MARKET SHOULD DICTATE PRICE

our country now uses government intervention to dictate price, and that is bullsheet. it is just beginning. people need to act.
