outdoors?...12/12 has very little to do with outdoor growing. As far N as canada is, most strains are matured and harvested by the time 12 hours of darkness is reached.

BUT...Sunrise sunset Tables worldwide

I assumed that they flowered at 12/12. As you can see I don't know much about growing. Around here 12/12 is in late Sept. Just about the time I hopefully will be harvesting (just like you said).

It's a pretty common assuption Mr horse...I suppose due to the constant referrance to 12/12 and indoor cultivation.
"Naturally"..as the light hours slowly decrease, the plants production of a specific hormone increase.. Once this has reached a critical level, flowering begins.

Ah I see. So what if you start your plants early? Will that affect their growth?
Will they just stay in the veg state longer and produce a bigger plant? I plan on starting in mid April in my greenhouse which I will probably have to heat ,that early of a grow (I live in Can.). And my second batch in mid May. Sorry for all the questions.

The only time I have ever heard of a problem outdoors with flowering is if there are lights around(street light, porch light ect.) that don't allow for enough darkness.

As long as you start them in thr GH, under the natural light cycle, they will stay in veg untill after the solctice in June. Longer veg = more growth/bigger plants
