First issue with my seedlings on living soil - are these fungus gnats?

Hi again! I didn't want to start a new thread so I'm upping this one. I think I'm in trouble but I can't define what the trouble is to take steps to solve it, On the third photo, the missing piece of the leaf is my fault so it can be ignored (it touched the yellow sticky fly traps and got stuck...

What is your idea of the perfect grow tent?

I'm about to spend money on grow tents for my 4 plant limit and trying to decide between 2 separate grow tents (1 3x3 for flowering 3 plants at a time) and another 2x2 shorter tent for keeping the mother plant and clones or if I should go with a 4x3 2-in-1 tent which has a 3x3 section for...

First issue with my seedlings on living soil - are these fungus gnats?

I've used h2o2 during the germination; just not half and half but 1 tbsp of %3 h2o2 to 1 cup water.

First issue with my seedlings on living soil - are these fungus gnats?

I think I'm doing fine with the humidity and temperature. Temps are around 72-77F, RH is around %45 if I don't run the humidifier, jumps to %55 if I run at the lowest setting, gets up to %70 on the second setting and reaches around %85 if I close the closet doors. I try to keep them open in the...

    The Original Old Farts Club

I consume %99 of my flower in dry herb vape form (except the times my friends dab me) and I love it. When I switched from smoking to vaping nothing but the highest setting on my PAX 3 used to give me the throat hit, so I kept it at 420F all the time. Eventually the craving for the throat hit...

First issue with my seedlings on living soil - are these fungus gnats?

Thank you for the suggestions! I'm going to apply diatomaceous earth in a couple of days once they get a little bit more vigorous. (Also I haven't seen any other gnats yet so maybe I have a couple more days before the ones in larva form start to emerge from soil. I'm also reading about...

First issue with my seedlings on living soil - are these fungus gnats?

Thank you, wouldn't drying out the top soil be detrimental to seedlings? Should I wait for maybe a week or so in order to get them to become a little vigorous to do that? What do you think?

First issue with my seedlings on living soil - are these fungus gnats?

Thank you! Diatomaceous earth should be okay to use in a living soil environment right? The local hydro shops sells food grade diatomaceous earth (%65 Diatomaceous earth, %35 montmorillonite)

Thank you! Looks like our city water has below 1.5ppm of chlorine. Probably in a week or I should fill up a storage tote and let it sit for a week. Can I keep using that water until its gone or is there a point to refill with fresh water and let it sit again?

Thank you for the suggestion! I'm planning take that route for a while, in a 20 gal storage tote that I already have to expose more surface area to air.

That's something that's confusing me. I'm reading the ingredients of the Ocean Forest and it sounds like it is a living soil but most living soil people seem to frown upon it. I don't understand what's different, it says organic and it has pretty much similar ingredients to most of these "just...

Thank you! Interesting thing is that I don't pay too much attention to organic stuff at the grocery store. I guess the quality of my weed is more important than the quality of my food :D. I'm absolutely not an organics snob, in fact I was looking for hydrophonic options until my friend brought...

Thank you all for welcoming me, I appreciate it! I don't have worms yet, I'm very new to living soil idea and still trying to get a grasp of it (currently living in an apartment, hoping to move to a house with more space to start my own compost by January), I wanted to mix Clackamas coot but...

Hi, I'm joining the forum as I'm going through my first living soil grow. I'm particularly interested in learning more about living soil grow and understanding how to keep the plants happy, in an organic way. Interestingly, I'm not necessarily big into organics for my groceries but I've heard so...
