Naw, if you're topping with water around 6.3/6.4 then you're doing exactly what you're doing as PART of the ramp :) Topping off with fresh water every single day (I do it two times a day) is essential to hydro, and a proper hydro ramp! Also, once those plants start eating you'll surely notice...
