    SIP pH issues

So I was using a regular fabric pot and pH the water to 6.2-6.3 and the water that was in my sprayer would sometimes rise up to 6.8 when I did the subsequent watering 3-4 days later. To make life easier since I'm gone frequently, I needed a better solution. Also because I always over water my...

Growing Problems past the seedling stage

LOL take their ears off! So topping fim lst and hst are ways to make the plant get more bushy so more light hits it. If you don't , then you'll mainly have just 1 large cola and that's about it. It makes more sites to grow and is more efficient Also they need complete darkness during their...

Growing Problems past the seedling stage

Originally I used the red cup then transplanted to 3 gallon pots and now they're in 6 gallon pots. They're not really filled to the 6 gallon marker and are probably close r to 4.5 gallon. Even the 3 gallon pots were more filled to like 2.5 gallons. They are fabric and one is actually from...

Growing Problems past the seedling stage

Thanks spunom, I have a general sense of what I'm doing but I don't have the exact science down. I've read so many articles and watched hundreds of youtube videos however its great to have another person's feedback.

Growing Problems past the seedling stage

Are you planning on topping or LST your plants? I just defoliated mine, but I'm pretty sure I over did it. I'm on my first grow too btw

Growing Problems past the seedling stage

Wow your plants look so healthy!!! Good work!! I got feminized seeds since I can't really see up close either. Maybe something to consider since it's probably around the same price anyways after you throw out the males and if you don't catch it, then it's 100% wasted.

    Very small leaves a problem?

I will be switching over to veg + bloom (just purchased it). I keep hearing different numbers like 6.0-6.5 so I was just trying for the middle ground. For lights I'm using famur tf1200 and I use 2 of them which are 110 watt led full spectrum.

    Very small leaves a problem?

So I have been comparing the pictures for my purple punch that I got from Greenpoint that are feminized photoperiods. One set of leaves were 5 inches across and the rest are tiny 2.5 inch leaves. The photos of other people growing the same strain have the regular large leaves. Is this indicative...

pH slowly changes in my watering sprayer

To be honest that's a bit too much work to make organic soil and so forth, but I do use fox farms ocean. Good to know there's another person using the octopot. Not really sure what SIP is, but for my first grow I realize that I over water too much and I'm gone for work a lot so this will be...

pH slowly changes in my watering sprayer

Oh I never considered this before. I'm more so concerned since I'm going to be using an octopot soon where it's a hybrid between conventional soil and hydroponics. So if the pH buffers up that'd be terrible. As far as the algae issue, carbonic acid would lower the pH. I'm having the pH rise...

Growing Problems past the seedling stage

Not sure if this helps, but since I'm not good at watering since I tend to over water. I'm currently getting an octopot. It removes the guess work in watering and makes things easier and there are diy solutions to get the same thing. Just something to consider since then you don't have to keep...

pH slowly changes in my watering sprayer

Hmm I never thought about leeching it out of the plastic, but I grow in really small batches so I figured it would be easy to have everything premade.

pH slowly changes in my watering sprayer

Well it's actually sealed in a container so nothing can really evaporate. I could understand if we had regular chloride in the water, but here in los angeles we use chloramine which does not evaporate (I double checked with my municipal water report). I was just wondering if anyone knew why...

pH slowly changes in my watering sprayer

Hi I was wondering if anyone else has this issue. I put in my nutrients and fully let it dissolve, then I adjust the pH with pH down and shake it very well and get it to around 6.3-6.4. I fill up a large sprayer and it usually sits in there for about 2 spraying sessions for which by the time I...

Growing Problems past the seedling stage

I mean you could use any acid, however pH down (or up) is a buffered solution so it's more likely to stay at the titrated pH. The bottle is large and you can use it for a really long time.

    Amazing growth

Do you guys use that much cal mag? I'm getting the feeling everyone is being kind of sarcastic with it, but I still use it as directed.

Growing Problems past the seedling stage

I was going to comment that you never addressed pH thus far and was what the main problem in mine was. You get nutrient lock out, meaning it doesn't absorb certain nutrients at different pH. I got a cheap pH meter on Amazon and pH down. my watering sprayer is around 2 liters and I use around...
