Not trying to hijack here grasshopper, but I'm also looking for a "perfect" solution to a similar problem. I also want my smart pots off the tent floor. I use plastic saucers when I water and I really like that they can suck back up any runoff, but I don't like leaving them under the plants...

I do remember reading that you can add profiles to the database or something if they are not found, but I think they have gotten "official" cannabinoid profiles on a lot of strains and just added them to their database for the device to check against.
