So far I've not gotten any answer back from Jeff, so he may also be waiting for a response too.

Thanks for the good thoughts bro! Sadly we are in Oregon, and will just be using the GC to sort out our own samples, though we will be using the same standards as the local labs for hire. Good luck getting to CA! There seem to be a number of labs springing up in CA and some of them have to...

No reply to my e-mail yet either! Congratulations on your upcoming wedding!

Thanks for the link bro! I sent Jeff an e-mail to see if he will share the specifics of what he found with us too, including the standards that he is using, so that we can duplicate his experiments with our own gas chromatograph. I am particularly interested in exactly what compound he found...

BHO Safety aka "Please don't immolate or blow your self up!"

Good point, not going to jail is a salubrious thing as well! If anyone has any question as to their local legal status, I recommend that they discuss it with their attorney, as we did ours. Fortunately it is legal here in Oregon for medical purposes, though not for recreation.

Beyond not getting injured, as more and more butane explosions occur in homes, the likely hood of laws and ordinances being enacted against its use, with supply restrictions, grows exponentially. I'm thinking that it is better to educate our own, before we all get legislated.

BHO Safety aka "Please don't immolate or blow your self up!"

Hi ya'll! Have ya'll been watching the folks blowing themselves and their homes up using butane extraction techniques, thus leading you to believe that such an attemptis suicidal? Thank Gawd (Great Spirit)that paying attention to details reduces the odds to limits that you might embrace, after...

There have already been pictures posted of houses with sections of the roof blown off, from indoor extractors using butane, and would it even be OK if it just blew out a few windows and ear drums, or subjected the surroundings to a 3500F plus degree fireball. My use of the term crimimal act...

And I thought you were smarter than to use butane indoors, but it looks like both our dreams were dashed. Exactly how much explosive force do you imagine 300 ml of liquid butane will create at 233:1 liquid to gas ratio? Something to be brushed aside and casually ignored? Got several vacuum...

Which terpenoids require 1600F? As hydrocarbons, all that I am familiar with, are converted to CO2 and water vapor around half that temperature. Carbon itself burns at 400C/752F. That is why self cleaning ovens operate in that range. Whether you need a vacuum or not, sort of depends on what...

Or consider keeping it in perspective? There is light years difference between residual butane in parts per millionth, and sniffing butane.

    Iso Hash Oil

Your ISO should taste nutty and floral when vaporized, not gross, so there may have been something wrong in the material or procedure. I would advise not using it, until you figure out what went wrong and why it does taste gross. Could you describe what you used and your process?

    Iso Hash Oil

I used to feel that way, but after experimenting with different solvents and amounts of drying, I have found that it really depends on the solvent used what you want to end up with. Some folks like floral flavors, which you lose with bone dry material, as well as the lighter mono and...

Apparently not. Might you explain, as I am on enough different forums to get even more confused?

    Iso Hash Oil

Do you have information showing different effects than inhalation which you might share? More perfect for what? We use different extraction methods for different effects. How about the rest of the non polar Alkanes? Is butane better than they are, even given its slight water solubility? I like...

    Iso Hash Oil

Or maybe someone in pain with only has 99% ISO available to work with. Isopropyl extraction was most likely born because of the tax rates on ethanol. The poison is in the dosage, so it simply must be purged below toxic levels, which are relatively easy to determine, with just taste and smell...

    Preparing for a BHO party

The n-X refining is to remove paraffin, which clogs the orifices of expensive butane lighters, not remove evil spirits. When we use lighter fuel, we use 4X Lucienne with great success and typically get strong positive feedback especially regarding our extraction flavors. Within the...

Hydrogen sulfide smells and tastes like rotten eggs and is detectible inparts per billionth, so a sniff should answer your question. I suspect it is the <50ppm oleaginous waxes (paraffin) that typicallycontaminates butane. It doesn't matter that it is only .000050 parts of the whole, if you...
