    Mountain Mix organic soil

that he did OS, and I credited him for it(see post #2) I also "moderated"/deleted/edited 10 instigative posts from various members (4 of which were by Mm) in an attempt to keep it an informative and educational thread. Mountain man was the only one that refused to keep it civil. Thanks to all...

First time grower with red stems/yellow/spotting leaves

pics show new growth, but no pistil yet..;) "A" leaf... naaaaa not consequential "I" wouldn't rush the nutes, not until your real light gets rolling anyway. It's tough to tell from pics, but "I" don't see a serious deff' yet. It's a LOT easier to add nutes than it is to get them out ;)

    Spider Mite Damage?

...they don't "eat yer buds".. but they do suck all of the juices, moisture, out, causing 'extensive' damage, or killing them. A'M' is right.. "they're NO joke". They're a BORG..a plague. IMO the only thing worse and tougher to deal with is PM (powdery mildew) KILL'EM KILL'EM KILL'EM!!!

"shooting up" is NOT necessarily a 'good' thing. Stretching between nodes is not beneficial indoors. It means fewer bud sites closer to the light source. U[ward growth does not always mean 'more' growth. co2 can enhance a grow, but it also requires a 'controlled' environment, more light/lumens...

a light for the flowering stage ?

you'll want a "minimum" of 5000 lumens p/sq/ft with the hps. the ptoblem with 'adding' the cfls to the hps, cfls HAVE to be close to the plants or they're worthless, if they are close, they usually block, shadow the hps. alternating nodes and/or preflowers are a sign they are sexually mature...

    dont mention LED's

I've thought they were "on the verge" for a few years now..:confused2: What I have deduced from what I've 'seen' here. There is a significant difference in quality between manufacturers, and 'good' ones are the expensive ones. I doubt aluminummonster is a pawn of the led mnf... or he'd be...

a light for the flowering stage ?

there are some that flower w/ cfls and are satisfied with their results .....until they use a hid. I can't recall anyone that has ever returned to cfls or asserted that cfls were superior, after running a hps.

    dont mention LED's

if the manufacturers claims were true, I think a LOT of ppl would be screaming their virtues. But...you just don't see it... If all the youtube clams were true, you'd see it.... but you don't..:confused2: We've had a limited number of 'posers' come along with similar claims, but "not once" have...
